What’s in the NeuroPeak Starter Kit?

The starter kit contains four single tablets, each still sealed in its own blister section and each from a different brand, so that the packs, the manufacturers and the strengths printed on them can be seen side by side:

Each of those four units arrives as the factory foil left it, and this is what a single sealed blister section carries and what it does not:

• the brand name, printed on the blister foil;
• the strength declared for that brand, printed on the same foil;
• the batch number, as applied at the plant;
• the expiry date, as applied at the plant;
• no full manufacturer carton, because a sample is a section cut from one pack rather than a pack of its own;
• no patient information leaflet — that document is packed inside the full carton, and a cut blister section does not carry one.

Modafinil and armodafinil are the same molecule in two forms: the molecule is chiral, so it exists as two mirror images designated R and S. Modafinil as manufactured contains equal parts of both; armodafinil contains the R form alone, which is why the two kinds of pack carry different numbers. That is chemistry, not a statement about effect, and this page makes no statement about effect.

Both substances are prescription-only medicines in most of the EU and controlled substances in many countries. A sample is still a medicine: whether any of these is suitable for a particular person, in what quantity and for how long, are decisions for a doctor or pharmacist, taken with that person’s medical history and other medicines in view and with the patient information leaflet of the product concerned.

That leaflet is packed inside the full manufacturer carton; a single blister section cut from a pack does not carry one, so the kit arrives without it, and a pharmacist can supply the leaflet for any of these four products on request.

What a sample can and cannot tell you

The sample kit contains sealed single-tablet units from four brands, so you can compare four things on the label before choosing a full pack:

• the manufacturer behind each brand;
• the active substance each one declares;
• the strength printed on each;
• the packaging each maker uses.

It also lets you confirm, at no product cost, three things about ordering from us:

• that an order from us arrives;
• that the packaging is discreet;
• that the pack is sealed and carries a batch number and expiry date.

What it cannot do is rank the brands by effect, and we do not claim it can. Where two of these products declare the same active substance at the same strength — Modalert and Modvigil at 200 mg of modafinil, Waklert and Artvigil at 150 mg of armodafinil — the differences between them are the manufacturer, the pack sizes available and the price per tablet. A bioequivalent generic does not act sooner, run longer or land harder than another product with the same substance at the same declared strength, and shops that publish rankings of brands as smoother, cleaner or more potent are inventing a difference no label supports.

Price per tablet compares pack sizes of the same product cleanly. Across brands it is like for like only where the strength printed on both cartons is the same: modafinil is labelled 200 mg here, while the armodafinil in this shop is labelled 50 mg on some cartons and 150 mg on others, a difference read off the printed box rather than decided by us. We do not convert any of it into a price per milligram, because that arithmetic would assert that tablets of one strength stand in for tablets of another — a statement about dose, which is not ours to make.

• Sealed and never repackaged: the tablets are supplied in the sealed blister sections cut from their original packs; no tablet is ever loose, decanted or relabelled.

We name the certification because both companies hold it, we do not rank the two against each other, and we do not attribute certificates, distinctions or markets we could not evidence. The Certificate of Analysis is a document about what is in the pack, not evidence about an outcome for anyone, and we do not present it as though it were.

Dosing: why we do not advise

This section carries no self-dosing, timing, administration, stacking or cycling protocol, and the heading says so plainly rather than promising guidance the text then withholds. Suitability and individual use are decided with a doctor or pharmacist, working from that person’s medical history, the other medicines they take and the patient information leaflet for the product concerned, which is packed inside the full manufacturer carton and does not travel with a cut blister section. Do not combine or alternate medicines without professional advice.

The leaflet is the document that lists what has been reported for modafinil and armodafinil: headache, nausea, dry mouth, reduced appetite, difficulty sleeping. It also lists serious reactions — severe skin, allergic, psychiatric and cardiac symptoms. Stop taking the medicine and seek urgent medical help if a serious reaction occurs. The leaflet holds the complete list and this page does not; where the two differ, the leaflet is the document that counts, and we do not grade for you how any of it will feel.

When to stop and seek urgent medical help

Stop and seek medical help immediately if any of the following occur:

• a skin rash
• blistering
• ulceration of the mouth or eyes
• swelling of the face or throat
• difficulty breathing
• fever
• chest pain
• an irregular heartbeat
• hallucinations
• agitation
• depression or thoughts of self-harm

A rash can be the first sign of a serious reaction and is a reason to stop and seek attention rather than to wait.

Contraindications, contraception and storage

Hormonal contraception: modafinil and armodafinil both reduce the effectiveness of hormonal contraceptives — pills, patches, rings, implants and hormonal coils. Anyone relying on hormonal contraception must arrange additional or alternative contraception with a doctor or pharmacist before use, and review it again when stopping.

Contraindications and cautions: both are contraindicated in anyone with a known hypersensitivity to modafinil or armodafinil. Medical advice is essential before use by anyone pregnant or breastfeeding, anyone with a heart condition, high blood pressure, impaired liver or kidney function or a history of psychiatric illness, and anyone taking other medicines, because interactions are possible.

Storage. Keep the tablets in their original packaging at normal room temperature, dry and away from direct light, and out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use the product after the expiry date printed on the carton and the blister.

That is a real gap rather than an oversight: the leaflet is the document that holds the complete list of reported effects, warnings and contraindications, and a summary on a product page does not replace it. A pharmacist can supply the leaflet for any of these four products on request, and the full packs in this shop ship with theirs inside the carton.

What is the difference between the four brands in the kit?

The company that makes each one, the inactive ingredients that company uses — the leaflet lists them — the pack sizes offered and the price per tablet. Where two of them declare the same active substance at the same strength, that is the whole of the difference. It is not the effect, and a sample cannot show you one, which is why this page does not rank them.

How do I check the batch against the certificate of analysis?

Read the batch number printed on the blister foil of the sample, then ask us for the Certificate of Analysis for that batch. The certificate names the batch, identifies the active substance and confirms the declared content of the tablet. Because the sections are cut sealed and are never decanted or relabelled, the batch on the foil in your hand is the batch that was analysed. If the two do not match, do not use the product — contact us first.

What happens if the parcel does not arrive?

Every parcel is tracked end to end. A sample order is covered by the same delivery guarantee as any other order: if a tracked parcel does not arrive, we reship at no cost or refund the shipping paid. Nothing needs to be claimed under a separate policy.

Do you answer questions about dosing, or about whether this is right for me?
