Cookie Policy
Last updated: 26 July 2026
This page lists every cookie NeuroPeak stores on your device, what each one is for and how long it lasts. The list was compiled by inspecting a real browsing session on this site, so it describes what actually happens rather than what a template says.
Nothing is stored until you interact with the site
Opening a page on neuropeak.net writes nothing to your device. The first cookie appears only when you do something: confirm that you are 18 or older, choose an option in the cookie banner, add an item to your basket, or sign in.
What we do not use
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No third-party trackers, social media plugins or advertising networks.
- No cross-site profiling, and we never sell or share your browsing data.
- No analytics cookies — see the next section.
Analytics without cookies
We measure how the shop is used with Matomo, which runs on our own server. The data never reaches a third party. Our Matomo is set up to store nothing on your device — it sets no cookies whatsoever.
Your IP address is shortened before it is saved: the last two blocks are replaced with zeros, so an address such as 203.0.113.24 is stored as 203.0.0.0. Individual visit records are deleted after 14 months; only aggregate statistics are kept beyond that.
Because nothing is placed on your device and the data is anonymised, this measurement does not rely on your consent. If you choose Decline in the cookie banner, we additionally tell Matomo to record nothing at all from your browser.
Cookies this site uses
| Cookie | Set when | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
np_age_verified |
You confirm you are 18 or older | Remembers your confirmation so the age check is not repeated on every page. | Strictly necessary | 12 months |
np_cookie_consent |
You choose Accept or Decline | Records your choice so you are not asked again. | Strictly necessary | 12 months after Accept, 6 months after Decline |
woocommerce_items_in_cart |
You add an item to your basket | Tells the page that your basket is not empty so the basket icon updates. | Strictly necessary | Until you close the browser |
woocommerce_cart_hash |
You add an item to your basket | Detects changes to your basket so the contents and totals refresh. | Strictly necessary | Until you close the browser |
wp_woocommerce_session_* |
You add an item to your basket or sign in | Links your browser to the basket and order details held on our server. Checkout cannot work without it. | Strictly necessary | 48 hours |
wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_* |
You sign in to an account | Keeps you signed in and protects the session. | Strictly necessary | Until you sign out, or longer if you choose to stay signed in |
wp-settings-* |
You sign in to an account | Remembers your personal display preferences inside your account. | Strictly necessary | 12 months |
affwp_ref, affwp_ref_visit_id |
Only when you arrive through a partner link containing ?ref= |
Records which partner referred you, so an order you place later can be credited to them. | Referral attribution — not strictly necessary | 30 days |
Partner referral cookies
If you reach our shop through a partner’s referral link — a web address containing ?ref= — we store a cookie identifying that partner, so that an order you place within the following 30 days can be credited to them. These cookies are written at the moment you arrive through such a link.
They contain no health information, they are not used for advertising or profiling, and they are never shared with advertising networks. The partner is told only that an order was placed, never who placed it or what was bought.
You can remove these cookies at any time in your browser settings, or avoid them entirely by visiting neuropeak.net directly rather than through a referral link. Doing either has no effect on browsing or ordering — it only means the referral cannot be credited to the partner.
Managing cookies
The cookie banner. Choosing Decline records your choice and stops our analytics from recording anything from your browser. Cookies that are strictly necessary — your basket, your sign-in and the record of your own choice — are still set, because the shop cannot function without them.
Your browser. Every browser lets you inspect, block and delete cookies for an individual site, usually under Settings → Privacy. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies will prevent the basket and checkout from working.
