Modaheal shares its declared content with Modalert (Sun Pharma), Modvigil (HAB Pharmaceuticals) and Vilafinil (Centurion Laboratories). Side effects and safety

Commonly reported: the package leaflet lists headache, nausea, dry mouth, reduced appetite, difficulty sleeping, dizziness, anxiety and nervousness.

Serious skin, allergic, psychiatric or cardiac reactions: stop taking modafinil immediately and seek urgent medical help if you notice a skin rash, blistering, ulceration of the mouth or eyes, swelling of the face or throat, difficulty breathing, fever, chest pain, an irregular heartbeat, hallucinations, agitation, depression or thoughts of self-harm. A rash can be the first sign of a serious reaction, so do not wait and see. Contraindications: do not take modafinil if you have a known hypersensitivity to modafinil or armodafinil.

Medical advice is essential before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have a heart condition, high blood pressure, impaired liver or kidney function or a history of psychiatric illness. The same applies if you take any other medicines, as interactions are possible: speak to a doctor or pharmacist first. Do not combine or alternate medicines without professional advice.

Hormonal contraception: modafinil reduces the effectiveness of hormonal contraceptives, including pills, patches, rings, implants and hormonal coils. If you rely on one of these, arrange additional or alternative contraception with a doctor or pharmacist before use, and review it with them when you stop taking modafinil.

Store the tablets in their original pack at normal room temperature, in a dry place away from direct light, and out of the sight and reach of children. Healing Pharma specialises in generics, and Modaheal declares the same substance and amount as our other modafinil brands. None of these brands holds an EU marketing authorisation.

Why doesn’t Modaheal cost the same as Modalert?

Because the manufacturer and our purchasing terms differ; both come in the same six pack sizes. Today’s per-tablet prices are in the brand table; a figure written here would be wrong after the next price change.
