What is the Modalert + Waklert bundle?

This bundle is two sealed products from Sun Pharma shipped together in one order: 30 Modalert tablets, each declaring 200 mg of modafinil on the pack, and 10 Waklert tablets, each declaring 150 mg of armodafinil. Both figures are printed on the manufacturer’s cartons and repeated on the blister foil, together with the brand name, the manufacturing licence number, the batch number and the expiry date.

Modafinil and armodafinil are the same molecule in different forms. The molecule is chiral, so it exists in two mirror-image versions, designated R and S; modafinil as it is manufactured contains equal parts of both, while armodafinil contains the R version alone. That is a description of composition, and it is why the two cartons carry different numbers. It is not a statement about what either does in a person, and nothing here should be read as one.

Hormonal contraception: both modafinil and armodafinil reduce the effectiveness of hormonal contraceptives — pills, patches, rings, implants and hormonal coils. How do I check that what arrived matches the certificate of analysis?

Each pack has its own batch number, printed on the carton and repeated on the blister foil. Read the number off the pack in front of you and ask us for the Certificate of Analysis for that batch. The certificate names the batch, identifies the active substance and confirms that the tablet contains the amount declared on the label.
